Refreshing and inspiring!

Akossa,

I have just returned home to Canada, after spending three months at Bunda. I was very happy when I discovered the Everywoman segment in the newspaper. I just had to congratulate you on the terrific work you are doing.

You have written wisely about current and relevant topics for today’s women. The women in our Malawian household were so encouraged to read the various segments and hear good news.

Newspapers are often bearers of bad news. Everywoman is refreshing and inspiring. The cover stories have given me insight into the strengths of some of Malawi’s women and I am sure there must be many more great women out there.

Underlying your work, I sense a real desire for you to build up marriages to ensure success and happiness. Once again, in a world where morals and commitment seem to be waning, I find this to be most refreshing and I thank you for being bold to speak this way. You also are an inspiring woman to me.

I thank you for Everywoman on Sundays, for truly comforting and strengthening me during my stay there in Malawi. Our newspaper does not have those great articles. I take my hat off to you and wish you every success in all you do.

With sincere thanks,

Julie Vasquez
