Regional champions for the 2015 Association of Draughts in Malawi (Adma) Championships will get full support from the association at the national finals in Mzuzu between May 29 and 31.

He, however, said the other individuals that qualified for the three-day finale will have to find own resources for the trip.

“This is a deliberate move to inject a hard-working spirit in the players and improve competition so that we can build a generation of strong players that can ably win medals at international events,” he said.

At the national finals, Chingoni, who defended glory in the 27-player Southern Region encounters with 37 points at the Sports Council in Blantyre last weekend, will lead Jalasi Matiyasi, Chikondi Matope, former national champion, Ganizani Majawa, Ezara Kaphirikwete, musician Lyson ‘Anko Layi’ Njati, Sandram Maonga, Aaron Kayuni, Dickson Geremu and Kondwani Jali.

Banda will represent the Centre alongside Madalitso Thom, Richard Mataka, Lucius Kholowa, Lawrence Jussab, Boniface Banda, Petros Kaliapa, Kenson Msonda, Aubrey Banda.

The North will have Winesi, Prince Mkandawire, Isaac Nyirongo, Thumbiko Mhone, Jack Nyirenda, Fiskani Mbendera, Isaiah Kumwenda, Zeamays Ng’oma, Ernest Kawonga and Henry Banda.
