Msowoya: announced the vacancy for the Lilongwe City South East Constituency

Msowoya announced this in Parliament today.

The current MP for the constituency who MCP candidate Ulemu Msungama claims stole the votes from him is Bently Namasasu. MCP challenged Malawi Electoral Commission’s (MEC) decision to have by-elections in the area.

Still in Parliament earlier in the day Msowoya told Nation Online that he has asked Minister of Information Nicholas Dausi, to furnish his office with details on the alleged abduction of Rumphi East Member of Parliament Kamlepo Kalua. Msowoya said he is interested in the matter because kalua is an MP.

Kalua was reported missing by his family few weeks ago. According to his family, they could not reach Kalua on his mobile phone which was unusual.

However, Kalua was found on Sunday morning at Kwacha Roundabout with both his hands and legs tied with ropes. He alleged to have been pushed from a moving vehicle and that was all he could remember.

Meanwhile, police say they are investigating the matter.
