Gowa Synod moderator of the Churches of Christ in Malawi, Reverend Tendance Suya, Saturday last week laid two foundation stones at Makhetha and Machinjiri prayer houses in Blantyre.

Speaking after the two functions, Suya asked the faithful to join hands and go deeper in faith for them to complete the projects.

“We are in a world where modern structures are of paramount importance both for the church and the country. We also need modern manses for our church ministers to be accommodated in good environment.

“For a long time, our church has been lagging behind it modern structures, but now we are coming into the limelight. We have two modern churches in Biwi in Lilongwe and Bangwe in Blantyre whose roofs are built with steel,” said Suya.

He advised members of the two prayer houses to be focused, united and committed.

The two projects are expected to cost K12.5 million.
