Robin’s Park in Mother’s Day Gospel do

It is a Mother’s Day gospel boogie for Blantyre as St Columba Youth Organisation host Ethel Kamwendo-Banda, Allan Chirwa, Khama Khwiliro and Limbani Simenti at Robin’s Park on Sunday.

Youth secretary general Mayamiko Kanjere the proceeds will go towards the group’s activities in the next six months.

Blacks in Zomba

Fresh from the Blantyre Arts Festival, the Black Missionaries will perform in Zomba Friday night.

The people’s band will perform at DNC near Chinamwali Township in the colonial capital.

As usual, the K1 000-per-head concert brings together the Blacks trio of lead vocalist Anjiru Fumulani, keyboardist Chizondi Fumulani and bassist Peter Amidu with Anthony Makondetsa and Moda Fumulani.

Ziboliboli Beach Party  in Mangochi

Mozambique’s DJ Nello and Selva come face to face with Malawian club selectors in a 72-hour beach party starting today at Ziboliboli Beach Resort in Mangochi.

The two will use the same decks as Mzuzu’s  DJ Ghetto as well as Blantyre’s Rabbah and Skills when the fun starts happening at the resort situated about 2km from Sun n Sand Holiday Resort.

For a Mother’s Day treat, ladies in beach wear will get the first drink free of charge. It appears this is time to grab a bikini and get going to the party grounds on the shores of Lake Malawi.
