Sadc Women Parliamentarian Forum meets JB

A delegation of the Sadc Regional Women Parliamentary Caucus on Tuesday met President Joyce Banda to lobby for the domestication of the Sadc Protocol on Gender ahead of the 2014 elections.

Said the leader of delegation Anna Abdallah, who is chairperson for Tanzania Women Caucus in Parliament: “We are here to advocate and lobby for the domestication of the Sadc Protocol which member States ratified in 2009 to ensure a 50:50 representation between men and women in influential positions by 2015.”
