Afro-jazz musician Sam Shaba says he is ready to launch his second album titled Kukaya this evening at Havilah Park in Area 47, Lilongwe.
In an interview, the musician said the event will be an exceptional family entertainment platform.
“I am excited with this album launch. Rehearsals with my band are underway and we want to give fans the best of African authentic sound,” he said.
Shaba said he has been working with a team of professionals to ensure that logistics, marketing and bookings are well taken care of.
“I have also been in touch with sound engineers and equipment providers who are equipped to make the event glamorous,” he said.
The musician said fans should expect an authentic African sound which people will relate to.
On the album, Shaba said Kukaya is celebrating the rich African culture.
“It bridges the village and urban lives while reminiscing those exciting moments of our childhood,” he said.
Commenting on the same, musician Ernest Ikwanga said he was looking forward to supporting Sam Shaba’s album launch.
“I am so excited to be back home and I will be performing at the album launch,” he said. Some of the songs on Kukaya album include Goodbye and Dingire. Shaba will also be supported by Joram and Keturah.
