The other semi-final will be played the other week between BCA Stars and Limbe Socials

The semi-finals were supposed to start next weekend, but have been brought forward as the organisers want to conclude the tournament before the rains.

“We wanted to play the finals on Boxing Day, but we are afraid that by then we may be experiencing heavy rains, so we have adjusted the dates to finish during the third week of December,” said the competition’s technical director, Trevor Kajawa.

Sponsor of the K2 million (about $6 060) cup, Sameer Suleman, said the tournament has been competitive and exciting.

“I am happy to see that there was a competitive spirit among the teams that joined the cup. It gives me reason to launch another competition soon after the finals,” said Suleman.

He appealed to coaches from youth, premier and Super League to spare time and watch the games.
