Highly anticipated state-of-the-art Samsung Galaxy S4 will be available to Malawi clients from Friday, 2 May.

In a statement released on Thursday Chienda said the launch is in synergy with global launch of the model.

“The general public is hereby being advised to lookout for ‘other ’ models of the Samsung Galaxy S4 which will most likely flood the market. The original Samsung Galaxy S4 model is only distributed in Malawi through Airtel Outlets, Samsung Brand Stores and IT Centre,” Chienda said.

He said the model difference between other imports and official local distributor including Grey Imports S4 form Dubai and UK / USA will most likely have the Snapdragon 600 processor which is a quad core processor as opposed to the Exynos Octacore processor that IT Centre Samsung Division will be supplying.

According to Chienda warranty in Malawi is only valid for products bought through Airtel or Samsung brand stores.

“The Galaxy S4—from Airtel and Samsung Outlets and iT Centre, covers one incident of accidental screen breakage and two accidental incidents of water spillage .

This is supplementary to the standard warranty. After that you need to pay for repairing your phone like you would normally do. In order to qualify for above you will need to register for the e-warranty—and this is only for the Galaxy S4 bought through Airtel and Samsung brand stores in Malawi,” he added.
