About 100 employees of Sana Day 2 Day shops in Blantyre have downed their tools to force management to pay them their gratuities after learning that the shops have been sold.

When The Nation Online crew visited Sana Day 2 Day headquarters offices in Blantyre in the morning hours, the striking staff had locked up management in the premises demanding that management settle their dues dating back to January 2013.Sana

The employees have since threatened a legal redress over the company’s failure to notify its staff two months prior to the transaction citing job security issues and unfair treatment.

SANA Day 2 Day management has however downplayed the fears saying discussions with the buyers are ongoing and job security will be prioritised.
