Sanjay, Makin shine in MTL Golf
Thakor Sanjay on Saturday beat a field of 92 golfers to win MTL Golf Tournament at Lilongwe Golf Club (LGC).
With a 12 handicap, Sanjay had 38-stablefold points ahead of Chris Mpanga who was second with 37 points. Muhammed Master was third with 36 points.
For his feat, Sanjay was rewarded with a golf bag, a trophy and Internet bundle.
“It’s great to be making a victory speech again. My game is improving every day. My putting and chip were great and helped me a lot. I thank the sponsor for the wonderful tournament,” said Sanjay.
- Ngilazi had the longest drive where as Ken Manda was nearest to the pin.
In the ladies category, Sue Makin carried the day with a 37 points score ahead of Regina Mwanza who had 33 points.
In her victory speech, Makin thanked her playing partners for making it easy for her to play her game. She received a golf bag, a trophy and Internet bundle.
MTL chief commercial officer GladsonKuyeri thanked the golfers for coming in large numbers.
“We value your participation in this tournament. The objective is to create a platform to interact with you and update you about our new services,” said Kuyeri.
