Coming from a 3-1 victory over Chriz Allan on Saturday, the police side featured two trialists Grant Chakumbuyo from Hard Knockers and Innocent Wanda from Chikwawa FC while Mafco had no new face.

Eagles took the lead four minutes into the game through Mucium Mhone.

Mhone converted a penalty after Mafco’s Paul Ndhlovu had handled the ball in the box.

The lead was short-lived as five minutes later, the soldiers cancelled it courtesy of Calisto Kalinda.

Eagles created more chances in the first half, but failed to put them to good use.

On three occasions, they were denied by the crossbar through Mhone and Wanda.

In the 30th minute, Eagles restored the lead through Charles Ngosi who headed home a cross from Elijah Kabingu to seal the first half at 2-1.

Mafco levelled the scores for the second time in the 68th minute through Richard Mbulu.

Mbulu tapped in a cross from Kelvin Mkandawire who came in as a substitute.

Kalinda scored again from a counterattack for the soldiers to lead 3-2.
