RBM deputy governor responsible for operations Meg Kajiyanike had requested FAM to form a select side specifically from Lilongwe-based Super League teams to face the central bankers.

The bank has pledged appearance fees for both sides. It will also cater for the logistics towards the preparations.

The select side will be coached by Civo United mentor Oscar Kaunda who will be assisted by Temwa Msuku. Abbas Makawa is the team manager and Symon Sichona has been appointed team doctor.

According to FAM competitions manager Gomezgani Zakazaka, the select side technical panel was chosen by FAM technical director John Kaputa while the players were selected by the panel itself.

“According to the arrangement, the team will be training at Silver Stadium,” said Zakazaka.

The squad is as follows: Goalkeepers: Amadu Ali and Duncan Mkandawire; Defenders: Pempho Kamsichili, Pilirani Makupe, Diouf Simaoni, Emmanuel Zoya, Wyson Nkhana, and Patience Kalumo; Midfielders: Willard Dickson, Joseph Kachule, Mude Jeffrey, Innocent Tanganyika, Gerald Nkungula, Thoko Harrison and Gift Mbwana; Strikers: Zinjani Yona, Harvey Nkacha, and Raphael Phiri.
