Mayamiko_southafricaLocated in Johannesburg, Winnie’s Soul & Jazz Restaurant boasts about not only providing the quality meals but also a musical experience that accompanies it. Why review a South African Restaurant one might ask?

Someone operating a restaurant in Malawi might also grab a tip or two. The restaurant expanded its repertoire in April 2014 by repositioning itself into a popular, upmarket, respected restaurant with the best in local talent always on the menu.

Although the inspiration of the restaurant springs from the velvet voices and soulful sounds that grace their stage, every aspect of the Winnie’s Soul & Jazz Restaurant is underpinned by attention to detail and a commitment to authenticity.

Their menu includes traditional bread called Domboro which usually comes with garlic mayonnaise, chili sauce, coriander and lime dip or alternatively with spice barbeque wings with chilli.

On their menu, they also have a number of starter dishes and desserts and there are a number of family meals on their menu catering for families seeking a delicious jazzy experience.

The meals at the restaurant cost between the ranges of R40 (about K1 600) to R250 (about K10 000).

If you make your way there you are likely to enjoy the sounds of Sibongire Mngoma who plays cover renditions of popular songs in a jazz, classic or opera arrangement.
