Kasungu Police public relations officer, Sub-Inspector Edwin Kaunda, told Malawi News Agency on Friday that Baton committed the offense on January 18 2013.

He said Baton, of Mkwesa Village, Traditional Authority (T/A) Kawamba in the district, was working as a tenant at a tobacco estate when he committed the crime.

According to Kaunda, the convict went drinking at Kamboni Trading Centre in the area and returned home at around 9pm very drunk.

“Instead of going to sleep in his house, he decided to enter his boss’ goat kraal and started having sex with one of the goats,” he said.

He said neighbours were alarmed to hear the goats bleating and when they checked what was happening, they were shocked to find the convict having sex with one of the goats.

He said police arrested Baton on January 22.
