Shammah Vocals releases new single

Artist Shammah Vocals has announced the release of his new single titled Excellence.

The new single, lifted from his yet to be released second album Asalama, was produced by Gresham Mokoena of Ituma Productions in Blantyre.

In an interview over the weekend, the artist said: “This song is the first to be released from the album Asamala which is expected in August this year. The concept of the album is to comfort broken hearts and preach about God’s love.

“The song is talking about the excellence of God. How God cares for mankind despite all the wrong doings and flaws man has, his love when everything seems dark, his excellence in sickness and temptations,” said the artist.

The award-winning artist further said people should expect quality and mature sounds blended with African flavour.

Commenting on the latest song, local gospel fan Rodger Kadam’manja said the artist is expanding his art horizon, he is exploring more avenues in order to improve new skills of his artistry.

“He is the future for Malawi music. He is composed in production and the future belongs to him,” he said.

Previously, the artist, born Shammah Stola, has released other singles including My Zoe, No Reverse and Daily.

So far Excellence, which was released on all digital platforms on Saturday, has received positive response with many downloads on www.malawimusic.com.

“People love my music and every time I release a song they support me and I am always grateful for that. I am encouraged and people should see the greatness of God whenever they are listening to the songs,” said Shammah.
