Said Sibande: “I teed-off on a bad note and after breakfast I realised I needed to improve on my putting and from then on I played really well.

“I regard this feat as a major because FDH Bank is also growing into a major bank”

Sibande received a trophy and a golf bag while Mbilizi went away with a golf stand bag and a trophy. Mbilizi thanked FDH for what she described as a wonderful tournament and also for including women.

John Magombo emerged winner in the seniors’ category with 35 points, a feat that earned him a K100 000 shopping voucher.

Hudson Kantwanje had the longest drive in men’s category while Kingsley Chimdima Mhango was nearest to the pin. Stella Mhango got the accolade in the ladies’ section.

The bank’s senior manager responsible for corporate banking, Zachariah Hara, thanked the golfers for taking part in the tournament which was organised to inform their current and prospective customers about their digital product—One Click and electronic.

“At FDH, levels have changed. The world has gone digital and, therefore, our efficiency, technology, services and convenience have also been improved. The One Click electronic bulk payments system will allow you to make payments to multiple beneficiaries at the click of a button and, thus save time and effort. It can also be used to pay those that do not have an account with us,” he said.

Hara also said the tournament helped them to engage their customers and understand their needs. He said they will sage another tournament in Lilongwe on July 1. n
