The Sikh Association of Malawi Society of Limbe took time off their busy schedule to donate various relief items to flood victims in Chikwawa.
Senior member of the society, Tochi Gill, said: “Despite our small membership, we took time to look at what people need for everyday life; hence, we managed to raise foodstuffs and other things for the flood victims.”
The society donated, among others, pails, soap, matches, candles, sugar, salt, soy pieces, maize flour and clothes valued at K4 million.
The items were donated to three camps in Chikwawa, namely Matchona 2, Sekeni and Jombo.
