Technical director Young Chimodiz will be in charge in this match in which a loss or draw will mean more blame game.

At the bottom, struggling Malawi Defence Force (MDF) outfits Mafco and Moyale Barracks, who are all in the relegation bracket, are playing away.

Mafco, who are second from the bottom in the 16-teamr league will be playing away against 10th placed-Karonga United.

The encounter in the first round at Chitowe Stadium in Dwangwa between the two sides ended 2-2.

In their recent two games Mafco have drawn against Silver 1-1 and and beat Red Lions 1-0.

Karonga lost 3-1 to Nyasa Big Bullets, but managed to beat Tigers FC 1-0 in an all away fixtures.

Mafco coach Tione Mhone understands fully the critical situation they are currently in and the urgent need to get out.

“We want to get out of relegation danger and the players know that. It does not matter whether it is a home or away fixture. All we want is a win. We are going to Karonga to play for win, “said Mhone.

Karonga have struggled in home games than in away fixtures.

“When playing at home, supporters ply pressure on players calling them names whenever they make a mistake. But we have worked on this problem as we want to drop any points at home. We aim to finish in the top 8 so we can play in the Airtel Trophy. It will not be easy for Mafco here,” said coach Christopher Nyambose

Moyale, who are 13th on the log table four places from the bottom team Nchalo United face fellow military side Kamuzu Barracks.

KB are seventh on the table on 24 points though only two points separates the two teams.

KB recovered from a 2-1 loss against Dwangwa a fortnight ago to beat TN Stars with same margin last Saturday and will seek to repeat the feat this afternoon.

Another interesting game will involve Silver Strikers and Nchalo United.
