Youth and Sports Minister Enoch Chihana and his Principal Secretary II Justin Saidi confirmed the development on Tuesday.

However, Saidi could not be drawn to comment on who will be the guest of honour at the function.

“I will have to consult the honourable minister on that and then come back to you.

“But I can confirm that as per the rotation system, the launch is on this Saturday in Mzuzu and as is usually the case, the defending Presidential Cup champions [Bullets] will face the Super League reigning champions [Silver] in a launch game. Other details will be released in due course,” said Saidi.

Late president Bingu wa Mutharika graced last year’s event that was held at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre and the then Presidential Cup champions Mighty Wanderers beat Silver 1-0 in a launch game.
