Super League giants Silver Strikers board of trustees has sacked almost the whole executive committee amid allegations of poor management of the club.
The only survivor from the axed committee is the vice-chairperson Goodal Chinjoka.
In a press statement issued yesterday, the board announced that it has appointed a new committee led by Ralph Tseka as chairperson.
He replaces Oscar Mabulekesi.
The board has, in place of Chimwemwe Mkhwimba, appointed Thabo Chakaka-Nyirenda as interim general secretary. Treasurer Fred Kalonga has been replaced by Patrick Mbiriyakula.
Andrew Mpakule is the new committee vice-treasurer while Lawrence Yobe, Assedi Mgomba and Innocent Kadammanja are committee members.
Deputy chairperson of the board Chiku Kalilombe, who signed the press statement, refused to disclose the reasons behind the dissolution of the committee.
Outgoing general secretary Chimwemwe Mkhwimba said he was not bitter that he has been sacked four months after his appointment.
