Northern Region Football Association (NRFA) has set December 20 as a date to wind up all matches for the 2015 K4 million Simama League.
NRFA general secretary Alfred Gunda said wrapping up the season on the set date will enable the champions, who will earn promotion to the Super League, to have enough time to prepare.

“We have set December 20 as a day to wind up all our league games. It is clear that once we finish the games on that date, the league leaders will have ample time to prepare for the 2016 Super League season,” said Gunda.

The 2014 season dragged into 2015 due to wrangles over the legitimate champions.
“We want to avoid what happened in the previous season. The league delayed and this affected the champions to prepare for the Super League,” said Gunda.
Currently, Chilumba Barracks are in the comfort zone with 71 points from 26 games played while Karonga United are on second position with 54 points from 23 game. 
