Sipho Makhabane jets in, promises fireworks

Renowned South African gospel artist Sipho Makhabane and his band arrived in the country on Wednesday ready to perform at the Bingu International Conference Centre (BICC) on Friday.
Upon arrival at the Kamuzu International Airport (KIA) the renowned gospel artist gave a simple message to his fans : ‘flat shoes!’

Makhabane assured Malawians that he will perform his best at the show and said ladies must come in flat shoes because they will dance like never before.

“I’m here with my full band and people should expect a very great show on Friday, ladies, please wear flat shoes because we will dance like never before” he said.

Among the people welcoming the giant at the airport was Music Association of Malawi president Chimwemwe Mhango who said he is very excited that Malawi is hosting Makhabane saying this means a lot to the country’s music industry.

Said Mhango: “it’s a very big and great achievement to the music industry to host Sipho Makhabane so I urge all Malawians to come to the show in large numbers and I should also thank the Great Angels choir for inviting him here.“

Great Angels choir is launching a website on Friday and Makhabane who is the guest artist at the show will perform live with his band.

Tickets for the show are selling at K10,000 standard and K50,000 for VIP.
