South Africa’s gospel musician SiphoMakhabane will be the guest artist at The Great Angels Choir’s website launch slated for September 29 at Bingu International Convention Centre (Bicc) in Lilongwe.

Through a video clip which The Nation has seen, Makhabane confirmed his Malawi tour.

“I will be performing in Malawi at the Great Angels Choir’s website launch on 29 September 2017. Malawi get ready for this,” Makhabane said.

The Great Angels Choir has developed a website aimed at maximising their brand.

“We have invited Sipho Makhabane to support us during the launch of our website.

“All the procedures have been successfully done with Makhabane,” said Ephraim Zonda, music director for The Great Angels Choir.

Courtesy of the Product Magazine, Makhabane came to Malawi last year, but failed to perform at BICC due to misunderstandings between the organisers and the venue managers.

Zonda described the website a giant step for the The Great Angels Choir.

“We have failed to take part  in international festivals for the past years because some organisers failed to access us.  The website has proved to be a powerful weapon for instant communication. Many big artists have websites which help them to market their brands and we are simply following the trend,” he said.

Zonda said The Great Angels Choir is venturing into entrepreneurship, a business enterprise which will benefit a lot from the website development.

“We want to be the face of business in Malawi by marketing products of different companies through our brand. The website will be key in this endevour,” he said.

Formed a decade ago in the capital city by twin brothers Ephraim and William Zonda, The Great Angels Choir released its debut album Mutifungatirein 2005, Ndiyende Bwanji in 2010 and Mwasankha Ine in 2014.
