Six envoys present letters of credence to Mw

Envoys from six countries on Wednesday presented letters of credence to President Peter Mutharika at a ceremony that took place at Kamuzu Palace in Lilongwe.

They are Kenny Kapinga from Botswana, Alicia Moral Revilla from Spain and Suzzane McCourt from Australia.

Others are Asaf Khan from Pakistan, Gera Sneller from Netherlands and Gabriek Gai Riak Makol from South Sudan.

The new envoys promised to work with Malawi in the areas of economic development, agriculture, irrigation and mining.

Said Kapinga: “Botswana is a strong mining economy and I know that Malawi is looking for partnerships for developing its mining expertise. We are ready and willing to assist”

Australia pledged more scholarships and assisting Malawians who are studying in Australia to make their studies a success. n
