South African celebrities Somizi and Busiswa on Friday raised the ratings of local Instagram weekend online show Grin’s Fire Friday.

During the show, the South Africans called and spoke with Tay Grin, who initially created the platform to interact and have fun with his fans.

Somizi: If you need me to come there, I am in

“What you are doing is amazing. As long as it is charity, I am in,” Somizi said.

“If you need me to come there, I am in. We can do an auction or whatever, as long as we raise money that can go towards a good cause.”

The choreographer and South African Idols judge went on to dance to one song much to the amusement of the fans.

“It’s important that whatever little we can do to bring change, let’s do it. God blessed us to bless other people,” said Somizi.

SomGaga, as he is popularly known, promised that this week he will join the show.

He had joined the live show at Busiswa’s house, who earlier on had mesmerised fans with her usual dance routines and singing.

“Malawi is beautiful. I had a great time when I came over,” Busiswa told the local artist about her visit to the country in December 2020.

For the fans, it was a worthwhile experience having the two South Africans in the house.

“We are happy they both came,” wrote a fan during the Instagram live.

The show targeted to raise K2 million to support government in responding to Covid-19 pandemic. However, Tay Grin said the amount collected during the event will be known today.
