Kamphulusa said Sparc Systems have been tagged gold-sponsors following their support.

she added that the event also has platinum, silver and bronze sponsorship categories.

“The donation is the biggest that we have received so far and we would like to thank Sparc Systems who have always been there for us,” she said.

The ICT solutions provider’s head of sales and marketing Alena Chiwaya said it is not the first time for them to be associated with golf.

“We are not new on  the golf scene. We have been sponsoring ladies, junior and open golf tournaments before. So, we are excited to be part of this partnership because the championship will attract local and foreign golfers. This is line with our corporate social responsibility strategy,” she said.

The championship will run for three days and it will start on  April 12.

Apart from golf, Sparc Systems have also been associated with the sponsorship of football and tennis. n
