The Malawi National Council of Sports (MNCS) top post of executive secretary is up for grabs and the interviews are slated for this Wednesday morning in Blantyre.

The council’s board chairperson Reverend Dr Lazarus Chakwera confirmed the development on Tuesday, but said he did not have the details.

“Whoever your source is, is probably right. The interviews are on tomorrow, but I do not have the details as I have just been invited to be part of the panel,” said Chakwera.

But a well-placed source said apart from the incumbent, George Jana, three other candidates [names withheld] have been shortlisted for the interviews.

All the three candidates have managed football before. One of them was once a top-ranking Super League of Malawi (Sulom) official and also managed top Super League clubs while the other had a stint as an official of a top club.
