As polls for the National Youth Football Committee (NYFC) draw near, the Southern Region Youth Football Committee (SRYFC) has nominated outgoing vice-president Mabvuto Missi for the hot seat currently occupied by Oswald Lungu.

The polls will take place on Saturday at Chiwembe Technical Centre in Blantyre.

SRYFC have also endorsed outgoing general secretary Alfred Lungu to continue serving in that capacity.

They have nominated Tienkhu Chavula to keep the purse and Thoko Chambali as vice-general secretary.

“We believe this team can unlock sponsorship for us,” said SRYFC acting general secretary Joel Magola.

He said apart from the FMB Under-20, there is no other sponsorship for the youth; hence, the need for the new committee to work hard.

In a related development, the finals of the Under-20 FMB Trophy will also take place on Saturday at Chiwembe, according to a programme released by NYFC secretariat.
