Standard Bank Knockout Cup finalists Silver Strikers and Azam Tigers are expected to donate cash and sports equipment to Special Olympics tomorrow at Kamuzu Institute for Sports.

It has been a tradition that finalists of the tournament donate towards charity ahead of the final match.

Standard Bank head of marketing Chimwemwe Matonga said the bank had asked Special Olympics to give them a list of their needs.

“But it is most likely that the donation will be in form of cash and sports equipment.

“The priority though is that the Special Olympics team should interact with the two teams and we felt the venue is appropriate as Special Olympics will be having their games there,” said Matonga.

He said the function is slated to start at 11am.
