Step up your game to woo investors—Mutharika

Mutharika has called upon Malawians, especially those working in government to step up their game in wooing investors to Malawi saying the opportunities are out there waiting to be tapped.

Mutharika made the remarks today in Lilongwe when he addressed the media two days after his return from Washington where he attended the US-African leaders’ summit.

“I call upon officers in all the ministries to come up with a project that would attract foreign investors,” he said.

Mutharika warned government workers of their liaise-fare attitude which he observed that is has cost Malawi government several opportunities that would have brought investors into the country.
