Sulom assures clubs on AGM

Sulom has given its word to Super League clubs that the annual general meeting (AGM) will be held soon.

Super League of Malawi (Sulom) president Innocent Bottomani gave the assurance on the sidelines of the league’s sponsorship contract renewal ceremony at Sunbird Mount Soche in Blantyre on Tuesday.

“The AGM is supposed to be held after a year. We have not yet clocked one year in office because we were elected in June. I would, therefore, like to assure the clubs that we will hold the AGM before June,” said Bottomani.

The Sulom president’s assurance comes in the wake of concerns raised by some clubs that they could not start the new season without holding an AGM.

The clubs said there were issues such as gate revenue shares and affiliation fees that needed to be addressed first.

The new season is set to start on Saturday.
