More than 2 000 entries made the first draw of the Experience It Promotion that Sunbird Tourism is running for the next two months for all guests staying in its seven hotels across Malawi.

In a draw held at Sunbird Mount Soche on Friday, 14 lucky customers won various prizes, including family dinner for five at Picasso’s Restaurant, Tidye Restaurant; two nights full-board stay at any of the premier hotels; free family weekend at any Sunbird resort and dinner for two at any Sunbird restaurant, among others.

Sunbird Tourism group sales manager Dan Tambala was happy with the response from the public in the first few weeks of the promotion.

“So many people have entered the promotion, we had more than 2 000 in this draw. This is a big encouragement to us and we believe this is going to be an incredible promotion where our guests will be rewarded,” he said.

The promotion was launched on July 1 and will run up to September 30 2012. Apart from the weekly prizes, other Sunbird guests will win the grand prizes that include a three-night holiday for two in Beijing, a three-night trip to Cape Town for two and a three-night full board holiday tour of Malawi with a partner and two children.

Some of the winners of the various prizes in the weekly draw were Sara Chodjo, Clement Thindwa, Mtyide Yandysa, James Saizi, Paramount Kyungu, Christopher Kamponovo and Dr Ronald Abbas to mention a few.
