Sunbird promises best service delivery

Malawi Stock Exchange (MSE)-listed Sunbird Tourism Limited has assured its potential and existing clients of continued good service delivery on the back of solid growth plans that the company has set in the short and long run.

The hotel-chain’s marketing manager Temwa Kanjadza made the remarks at a cocktail organised for the hotel chain’s bookers at Mount Soche Hotel in Blantyre.

She said the hotel chain values customers’ needs in an industry that is becoming competitive and offering new products and services as such they will continuously engage their customers but also work on improving their infrastructure and service delivery.

“Sunbird has been on the market for so long and we feel we have matured and can borrow expertise in terms of service delivery and offer the best hospitality. The feedback we are getting from our customers is also key for us as this gives us room to improve and serve them better,” she said.

She said Sunbird has done a number of renovations, improvements and upgrades in several of its hotels and lodges and continues to improve. 

“We have  been working on some of the units, among others, renovations and upgrading of rooms at Sunbird Lilongwe, working on new conference facilities at Sunbird Mount Soche in Blantyre which was unveiled in October, construction of a heated pool at Sunbird Ku Chawe in Zomba and unveiling of new rooms at Sunbird Livingstonia Beach in Salima last year.

One of the clients Dalitso Chauwa of Press Corporation Limited, hailed Sunbird for the role they play in improving the country’s hospitality sector.

She said: “Sunbird has strived to improve and we are enjoying their services. Their infrastructure and service delivery is one of the best on the market. We are proud of Sunbird being a local brand and pledge our support to them.”

Sunbird has nine properties, namely Sunbird Lilongwe, Sunbird Capital, Sunbird Mount Soche, Sunbird Mzuzu, Sunbird Nkopola, Sunbird Livingstonia, Sunbird Ku Chawe, Sunbird Thawale inside Majete Wildlife Reserve in Chikwawa and Sunbird Kara O Mula in Mulanje.
