South Africa Premier Soccer League (PSL) giants Mamelodi Sundowns are reportedly eyeing Flames captain Limbikani Mzava.

Mzava is on Sundonws coach Pitso Mosimane’s wish list which also has Thulani Hlatshwayo, Deon Hotto, both of Bidvest Wits, SuperSport United’s Aubrey Modiba, Cape Town City’s Kermit Erasmus and Thami Mkhize, according to South Africa’s Soccerladuma.

The coach is on a shopping spree to refresh the Brazilians squad with most of the players approaching the twilight of their careers.

“The mileage in the legs of Hlompo Kekana [35)], Wayne Arendse [35], Tebogo Langerman [34], Tiyani Mabunda [32], Anele Ngcongca [32] and Anthony Laffor [35] is too high for the club to bank on for long,” Soccerladuma reported this week.

However, it remains to be seen if Mzava’s club Highlands Park will let the defender go after signing him in July 2019 after the expiry of his three-year contract with Golden Arrows.

The Malawi national football team defender was recently listed among 14 current PSL most valuable foreign stars.

According to KickOff.com, Mzava is ranked sixth and is valued at R17.3 million.

Mzava moved to South Africa in 2009 after being signed by Bloemfontein Celtic from Escom United.

He played for Celtic for four years before joining Mpumalanga Black Aces for a season.

He was signed by Lamontiville Golden Arrows in 2016 where he spent a season before joining Highlands Park last season.
