Those selected will also automatically qualify for the early July trip to United Kingdom.

The academy’s administration manager Patricio Kulemeka said the final trials will start on Saturday and sports journalists will be involved in the exercise.

“We want to select the cream from the group of players that we have. We are, therefore, extending an invitation to sports journalists and coaches to come and help us in this important exercise,” said Kulemeka.

He said in the first trial match tomorrow, Surestream Academy will face Kangaroo Academy from12.30pm. The match will curtainraise the Presidential Youth Cup final game between Griffin Stars and Mighty Wanderers Youth.

“On Sunday, we’ll have possibles versus probables from 2.30pm,” said Kulemeka.

The academy’s technical panel comprises technical director Peter Mponda, Kulemeka, coaches Sherry Msuku and Abel Mkandawire and their assistants Henry Solomon, Aubrey Magombo and Honest Nkhwazi.

Among other teams, Surestream’s Under-17 team will face Manchester City and QPR academy teams during their UK tour.
