According to Surestream general secretary Ophman Kondowe, the event will include honouring outstanding players such as overall best player, most disciplined player and outstanding student.

“After winning Division One championship in our first season, the boys defied the odds to achieve the same feat in the Premier Division by earning promotion to the Super League.

“It is not a feat that came on a silver platter, it took a lot of commitment, hard work and team spirit from all stakeholders, including management, players, technical staff and supporters and we felt it proper to recognise the players’ feat,” said Kondowe.

He also said Youth and Sports Minister Grace Chiumia is expected to be the guest of honour. Other dignitaries will include the ministry’s principal secretary Justin Saidi, FAM president Walter Nyamilandu, Blantyre City mayor Noel Chalamanda, Surestream Academy founder and director Chris Pitman, general manager Keith Robinson and Sports Council executive secretary George Jana.

To crown it all, Surestream will also be officially presented the trophy by Nsejjere and SRFA.
