Surestream Academy teams dominated in a football bonanza that was staged last weekend in Blantyre.

The bonanza was played in four categories, Under-10, Under-12, Under-14 and Under 16.

Surestream technical director Peter Mponda and his Bangwe counterpart Basiano Bauleni described the bonanza as fruitful.

Said Mponda: “It was worthy it since we were able to identify talent that can be nurtured and developed.

“We will keep on arranging such tournaments as we continue to scout for talent.”

The other teams that took part were Bangwe, Kinnah Phiri Academy and Nasawa.

In Under-10 category, Surestream beat Nasawa 3-0, but were held to a barren draw by Bangwe whereas in another game, Bangwe beat Nasawa 4-1.

In Under-12 category, Surestream edged Bangwe and Nasawa by 1-0 margins whereas Bangwe pipped Nasawa 2-0.

In the Under-14 category, Surestream beat Bangwe 1-0 whereas Kinnah Phiri Academy thrashed Nasawa 3-0.

In Under-16, Surestream beat Kinnah Phiri Academy 3-0 whereas Bangwe demolished Nasawa 4-0.
