Tabitha’s goal earns Jiangsu full points

China-based Malawi women’s football star Tabitha Chawinga continues to shine in Chinese Women’s Super League after scoring in Jiangsu’s 1-0 victory over Wuhun in a mid-week away game.

She has now registered a goal in three consecutive games the team has played so far.

In the mid-week fixture, Chawinga scored in the second half to earn full points.

In an interview, the She Flames captain said she has set a target to finish the first round with 11 goals.

“All is well with God and I am glad that I am scoring in every game. It’s my target to finish the first round with 11 goals and help my team to win the league. I am optimistic that I will achieve both targets. I will keep the momentum,” she said.

With the goal, she has taken her tally to three goals.

She scored when Jiangsu won 3-2 against Beijing Phoenix in their league opener.

In the second league, she scored in a 1-0 triumph over Shanghai on Saturday.

Jiangusu now have nine points from three games.
