The channel recently featured Tay Grin in the live talk show last week.

“I was honoured to be invited by Pauline Long as a VIP to attend the red carpet event. It was packed with various industry people and allowed me to network and get acquainted with the right people. Promoters, designers, producers and record label executives.

“As I am looking to launch my new project, such platforms are beneficial as they allow me to reach all the right people at once,” said Tay Grin, who will soon be releasing his new single The Beach off his upcoming third album.

The Nigerian movie, produced by Obi Osotule and directed by Matthias Obahiagbon, follows the story of Tejiri, who uncovers a massive web of conspiracy on human trafficking and crime on board St Mary, an oil vessel bound for Amsterdam.

The movie tells the story of Nonye, who is lured by a Facebook confidant and friend into a cabal’s dragnet. She is taken away from the safety and comfort of her family and left in a terrifying adventure amidst her pleas for survival.

The premiere, that took place on August 8, had some members of the cast and crew of the movie in attendance, including Zack Orji, Benita Nzeribe, Frank Dallas, Keppy Ekpeyong and executive producer Darlington Agha.

“It gives quite an interesting insight on how young ladies are tricked into believing they are going abroad for education, music opportunities etc and are turned into sex slaves,” says the hip-hop artist.

On the industry side, Tay Grin also met celebrated UK rapper Sway last week, who broke down the ins and out of the UK industry, how it works, and what Tay Grin needs to do to broaden his music horizon and how the two can work together.

Five years ago, both Tay Grin and Sway where featured on the Julia Remix by Swedish/Malawian duo The Very Best when the UK rapper was in Malawi for the Lake of Stars Festival.

Tay Grin, who landed in Malawi on Monday, was in the UK where he had three performances in Glasgow, Scotland and two in England where he performed in Manchester and Nottingham.
