The rapper has used the trending street Khenge which is growing in popularity at the moment, and in the song he has used the word to illustrate how long his journey in the music industry has been before getting to stardom.

“It is a statement song and a reminder of how long I have been at this thing called music. It is about how big we intend to make it here in Malawi and in the  world by any means necessary,” he said.

The artist, popularly known as Nyau King, paid tribute to his appearance on Robert Marawa’s programme, crediting it for opening doors for many opportunities ahead.

“To perform on that show is no mean thing. This is one of Africa’s biggest live broadcast shows that has a huge following. It has opened vast doors for me and I will be featuring on more international platforms as I grow my brand,” he said.

Producer of the Khenge song, Camera, cherished the opportunity of teaming up with the award-winning Malawian rapper.

He said:“It was an honour to work with an African legend. I have always wanted to work with Tay Grin and to me this was a great experience.” n
