Defending champions Silver Strikers are set to get back to business Tuesday next week while their capital city rivals Civo United started last week.

The Bankers team manager Sibusiso Padambo said: “We trained last week just for a few days to prepare for the Presidential Initiative on Sports (PIS) launch game against Big Bullets. Otherwise, we are regrouping next Tuesday.”

Big Bullets are scheduled to resume training this afternoon at College of Medicine in Blantyre under the tutelage of assistant coaches Gerald Phiri Snr and Lloyd Nkhwazi.

Mighty Wanderers resumed training yesterday at Multi-Country ground at Chichiri.

The Nomads team manager Chiyembekezo Zidana said: “We started with a meeting on Tuesday, but we are supposed to go full-force from this afternoon and new players are welcome.”

Moyale Barracks were also scheduled to resume training on Tuesday at Moyale ground while Azam Tigers are expected to start pre-season training tomorrow [Thursday] afternoon at Country Club Limbe.

“Azam Tigers are inviting all new players, who are interested to join the team, to report for training on Thursday from 2pm,” reads a statement from Tigers mentor Leo Mpulula.
