Tembo commends JB on rule of law

Malawi Congress Party (MCP) president and Leader of Opposition, John Tembo, on Monday commended government for its commitment to uphold the rule of the law and ensuring that people express freely on issues that affect them.

Tembo said this in Parliament when responding to the State of-the-national Address on the opening of the budget session of Parliament by President Joyce Banda on Friday May 17.

“I want to commend government for allowing its people to express themselves on issues that affect them without fear of repression and despotism as evidenced by the violence-free demonstrations that have taken place during the current regime,” Tembo said.
