Journalists in the country have given Teresa Ndanga the mandate to lead the National Governing Council (NGC) of the Media Institute for Southern Africa (Misa-Malawi) for the next three years. At the highly contested poll, the TCM team comprising Teresa Ndanga (chair), Cliff Kawanga (vice-chair) and Mandy Pondani (committee member) trounced the FSC team of Frank Phiri (chair), Sellina Kainja (vice-chair) and Chimwemwe Njoloma (committee member). Ndanga beat Phiri by 227 votes to 165.
In her acceptance speech, Ndanga dismissed allegations that her camp had been funded by any political party.
She also emphasised the need for the two camps to bury the hatchet and work towards reviving the organisation. In the picture, Ndanga being interviewed by members of the media.
