Teresa Ndanga triumphs in Misa-Malawi polls

Journalists in the country have given Teresa Ndanga the mandate to lead the National Governing Council (NGC) of the Media Institute for Southern Africa (Misa-Malawi) for the next three years. At the highly contested poll, the TCM team comprising Teresa Ndanga (chair), Cliff Kawanga (vice-chair) and Mandy Pondani (committee member)  trounced the FSC team of Frank Phiri (chair), Sellina Kainja (vice-chair) and Chimwemwe Njoloma (committee member). Ndanga beat Phiri by 227 votes to 165.

In her acceptance speech, Ndanga dismissed allegations that her camp had been funded by any political party.
