The importance of mother’s prayers

Just like others I was inspired by the message which spoke of the importance of a mother’s prayer over her family. It also mentioned that the heart of a mother is close to God. Mothers are God’s blessed creation! As a new mother I never knew that mothers are closer to God. That piece taught me that God answers my prayers all the time. As my son starts school that will be my aim to teach him to pray and I will also diligently pray for him as long as I live.

I read with interest the story on female genital manipulation which I thought was very thought provoking. Most people do not want to talk about sex and yet it’s what cements most familes. Malawians should learn to be open on some of these subjects so that we can help future families. I have met women who have done both (pulled or not pulled) and seriously I do not note a difference but most of my friends who discussed this subject felt that the verdict should be to pull. Seriously I think women should consult their partners on this.
