Thyolo Secondary School on Saturday dominated the K12 million Ben Phiri Trophy when they triumphed in both secondary school football and netball finals after beating Chikolombe Secondary School sides.
The football team took the ultimate glory with a 2-1 victory at Khonjeni Primary School ground while the netball outfit triumphed 17-5.
Thyolo Secondary School netball captain Praise Chasankha attributed their success to hardwork and the encouragement they get from school authorities as regards engagement in sporting activities.
“Our school encourages us to work hard both in class and sports,” she said.
The trophy kicked off in September 2018 and was divided into secondary school, primary school and active football and netball categories.
