Tigers, Fisd Wizards match to spice up Copa-Coca Cola final
A friendly match between Super League sides Azam Tigers and Fisd Wizards will spice up the finals of the K46 million ($92 000) Copa Coca-Cola Under-15 National Football finals on Sunday at Balaka Community Centre ground.
Malawi Schools Sports Association (Massa) general secretary Blackson Malamula said the preliminaries are scheduled for today while the semi-finals and third-place match will be played tomorrow.
“We have lined up a number of entertain activities on the final match day such as performances by Balaka Dancing Queens, Police Band and Paka Town Band. At half-time, we will also unveil a Nissan Calavan minibus that we have bought for the operations of the association.
Malamula said the winning team will get K750 000, runners-up K500 000 while the third-placed team will get a K350 000 consolation.
Six teams representing the country’s all education divisions will compete for the ultimate prize.
Carlsberg Malawi senior brands manager for non-alcoholics Titha Mbilizi said they are happy with how the competition has progressed over the years.
North Education Division are the defending champions.
