Mighty Tigers put behind their financial woes to hold Be Forward Wanderers to a goalless draw in a league game at Kamuzu Stadium yesterday.

It was a game in which both teams made relentless efforts to win to atone for a bad patch they are going through.

The result has seen Wanderers drop two places above relegation with seven points from seven games while Tigers are in relegation zone with five points from eight games.

But it was good start for new Tigers coach Trevor Kajawa who replaced Rodgers Yasin fired two weeks ago.

Wanderers coach Bob Mpinganjira said it was not a good result for the team while Kajawa said he was happy with the result.

In other games, Blue Eagles held Red Lions to a goalless draw, Kamuzu Barracks beat TN Stars 3-1 and Chitipa United saw off Moyale Barracks 3-2 to register their first win of the season. Chitipa assistant coach Gift Mkamanga said the result was a morale booster.
