Azam Tigers chairperson Sydney Chikoti has said he has told his players to finish the season on a winning note as they play Silver Strikers in Lilongwe today.

In an interview from Blantyre on Thursday, Chikoti said they regret dropping points in their last three fixtures.

Tigers_bullets_action“The poor form cost us nine points and an automatic place in the Standard Bank Knockout Trophy. It hurts to have let that opportunity slip through after performing well for a bigger part of the season,” said Chikoti.

The match promises to be an explosion as Silver have also vowed to win to consolidate their place in the top-five bracket.

“The good thing is that we are playing at home,” said Silver general secretary Mike Tembo.

In another match in Lilongwe, Blue Eagles host Moyale Barracks at Nankhaka. It is just a formality game as a victory for Eagles will not change anything.

In Blantyre champions Big Bullets wrap up the season with an easy fixture against relegated Blantyre United.
