Azam Tigers insist they are yet to decide on a coach who will guide the team during the next TNM Super League season.

The team’s chairperson Sydney Chikoti said this in reaction to online reports that they have settled for former Silver Strikers and Mighty Wanderers’ mentor Franco Ndawa as head coach to replace Leo Mpulula who recently decided not to renew his contract.

The reports indicated that Ndawa would be unveiled at the Tigers camp next weekend and that former Big Bullets coach Meke Mwase had been earmarked to be his deputy.

“Let everyone know that we are yet to decide on who will be our next coach. We will come up with the name by the end of this week because we are still scrutinising the CVs of the three shortlisted candidates. So, be patient,” he said.

Last week, Chikoti told Nation on Sunday that they had shortlisted three people but refused to disclose their names.
